User manual

Follow these steps in order and in under an hour you'll have Autory running in your restaurant.

Welcome to Autory

Autory keeps your restaurant inventory under control automatically: you record sales and purchases, and the system adds or subtracts ingredients for you.

  • This tour takes ~3 minutes and gets you ready to load your system.
  • You can close it anytime and reopen it from the User manual.
  • At the end you'll get a checklist to go live.

1. Set up your restaurant

Start with your business details and your team.

  • Upload your logo and confirm the restaurant name and exact address.
  • Create your team directly in Settings: set each person's username, password, role and sections.
  • As admin you choose which tabs each staff member can see (inventory, sales, import, etc.).

The exact address is used by the AI to recommend nearby suppliers.

2. Load your inventory

Ingredients are the foundation. Each one has a unit, stock and minimum stock.

  • Create each ingredient with the unit you actually consume (g, ml, unit).
  • Set the minimum stock: Autory alerts you when stock drops below it.
  • Stock is stored in batches with their cost, so plate costing is always real.

Got many ingredients? Load them all at once from Import Excel.

3. Build your recipes

A recipe defines which ingredients a dish uses and how much of each.

  • Add ingredients with the exact amount used per portion.
  • Use Sub-recipes for repeated preparations (sauces, mixes, doughs): create once, reuse in many dishes.
  • You can edit a recipe anytime; changes only affect future sales.

Without a recipe the system doesn't know what to deduct when that dish sells.

4. Record sales

Every sale automatically deducts the recipe ingredients.

  • Manual entry: pick the dish, quantity and who recorded it; the time is saved automatically.
  • You can also sell a standalone ingredient (e.g. a drink) with no recipe.
  • Daily sales feed the dashboard and the history log.

Dates use DD/MM/YYYY across the app and templates.

5. Restocking and suppliers

When you buy, stock goes up and the batch cost is stored.

  • Record the purchase with quantity, cost, supplier and who recorded it.
  • Save your suppliers with contact and products to reorder faster.
  • Autory suggests what to restock based on minimum stock and real consumption.

6. Import with Excel

The fastest way to load or update everything at once.

  • Download the template you need (inventory, sales, purchases, recipes) and keep its structure.
  • Don't rename columns or reorder sheets.
  • Dates must be DD/MM/YYYY (e.g. 08/06/2026 = June 8, 2026).

Test with a few rows before uploading the full file.

7. Dashboard and history

This is where you see if the restaurant is healthy.

  • Dashboard: today's sales, low-stock alerts and consumption trends.
  • History: every movement per ingredient, with date and who did it.
  • Use it to spot waste, shrinkage and low-margin dishes.

8. AI assistant

Ask the AI about your own restaurant in plain language.

  • "What sold the most this month?", "What should I buy tomorrow?", "What does this dish cost me?".
  • It can return charts and compare periods.
  • You can also attach photos or PDFs (invoices, price lists).

You're ready!

Recommended order to get your system running today:

  • 1) Set up the restaurant and your team.
  • 2) Load ingredients with stock and minimum stock.
  • 3) Create recipes (and sub-recipes) for your menu.
  • 4) Record today's sales and purchases.
  • 5) Check the dashboard and ask the assistant anything.

Questions? The User manual has this guide plus an assistant that answers questions about the app.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Autory cost?

$49 USD per month or $490 USD per year per restaurant, with unlimited users. You can cancel anytime and you have a 14-day guarantee.

Do I need installation or a technical visit?

No. You create your account, load your inventory and get started. The whole process is self-service and this manual guides you.

Can I use it in several restaurants?

Yes, but each restaurant needs its own subscription, since the data is managed separately.

What happens if I cancel?

You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. After that, the account is locked, but your data is kept for 12 months.
